The season is upon us.
The stress of buying all those gifts. The anxiety of families coming together and maybe the sadness of memories past. Most likely, our emotions will ebb and flow during the month of December and by the time the 25th comes around we are ready to wrap up all the decorations and the tree like a gift not to be opened again for another year.
But what if we approach the season glorifying the Lord by growing in the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control?
This could be a time of year that we can allow the Lord to walk us through our challenges (tweet this!) and deliver us to a new place of growth and for us to deliver a gift to others that is priceless and needs no wrapping. For some, all they hear about during this season is the story of a child that was born that would give the ultimate gifts of love but they don’t see it in those that believe.
So, let us put on a new perspective and bring the story of Jesus to life this Christmas by the giving of the fruits of the Spirit and acting out our part in such a wonderful story.
