If you are a person of faith, it means that no matter what your circumstances are you believe that God’s plan, not yours, is being carried out.
It is not having answers to the what, when, and how? It makes you dig deep into your soul for patience and perseverance. Hebrew 11:6 states that it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
This topic maybe the biggest one that deters unbelievers from believing and believers giving up hope. We live in a ‘want it now’ society and there is no app for the answers. No GPS to tell us where we are at and where we could go and Amazon doesn’t sell it.
It is believing that we will face storms and other hardships even when we cannot understand the reason for it. We may or may not survive but we will learn from our experiences and we should never stop trusting in God. We should feverishly pray in the hard times and make sure that we communicate to God even when we feel He is not there. I would hate to meet God in the end and have Him tell me that He watched and listened for me over the course of my life and I only had faith when times were good. When times made ‘me’ feel good.
We have all felt like the lighthouse in the picture and I am sure that God watches where we stand in times of challenge and controversy. He wants to see us stand tall believing in Him. Knowing that He controls the waves.
So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
